I am getting slowly up and running. I have two awesome employees, and have even figured out how to pay them.
Computers and phones went in last week. I have set up Quickbooks for the office accounting, have a corporation set up, have contracted with a billing service for the patient accounts, have obtained and set up (sorta) an electronic record, have obtained all the insurances necessary, have a building with two year lease, bought an ultrasound machine, and am currently in the process of furnishing/decorating the office getting last minute details up and running.
Next week is my last with Southwest Surgery, then we are live in January.
It is challenging, but not impossible. I have learned a lot and continue to learn on the fly in the process.

Excellent!
Pardon my ignorance, but what specialties and services are you providing? I'm due for a colonoscopy.
I did about 6 colonoscopies this week.
What does a general surgeon do:

Great pics! I love the ones of the kids trying to get the photo right w/ one crying, one looking the other way, one trying but not quite getting it. Classic! You must be having a blast w/ them.
