How we spent our summer vacation

Took a week off and mostly stayed home.

One day in Phoenix, hot as Hades, for a visit to the science museum, overnight stay at the Residence Inn, and a trip to "Water World"

You are required to like science in this family!

Joel loves balls.

We got to watch a cows eye get cut up as part of a demonstration. Afterwords, the kids were invited up to feel the various parts.

Yay!!

Not to be forgotten is the exotic hotel pool!

100 degrees at night, Whoopee!

Next up: Water World. A mere 110 degrees made getting wet delightful.

After coming back home and really appreciating the Prescott weather, it was time for a camp out in the back yard (on the fake grass no less). This was really fun. Mommy and Joel passed, but everyone else was in to it. I thought the girls would come in after an hour or so, but everyone slept soundly (except Dad). We saw 4 satellites, 3 shooting stars, and were awakened by the sounds of coyotes in the middle of the night.

Finally, we all got together in our grubbies to restain the playhouse.

This was a disaster and not soon to be repeated. Still we had fun...sorta.

That is all, we return to our regular schedule mostly refreshed.
