Spruce

Today we summited Spruce.

It was Epic.

This is the highest peak locally at 7800 feet. The views are unbelievable, and there is a fire tower at the top to get even more elevation.

Lord of his domain

Snacks are always welcome.

Rachel found about a thousand lady bugs in the cracks of the rocks.

We came home to find the main pipe running into the house burst.

This led to dad shoveling hundreds of pounds of dirt over several hours to get to the rupture so he could pay a plumber $350 to spend 1/2 hr fixing it. Life is good! You really appreciate water when you don't have any.

Turkey Day in Ca

A loooong day for daddy. Started at 0200 leaving for Phoenix, dropped H off and headed to California. Arrived at the dinner at 1400. Of course no one slept.

Abby made friends with animals everywhere we went.

Ethan "boxing" with the Wii

Kiddie table

Abby getting friendly with strange men as usual.

Next day we went early to Crystal Cove beach at Laguna. Very nice, but too cold for swimming this time of year.

Joel shows off the two balls he found.

Visiting the new second cousin at Loma Linda

Visiting the Carlsons

Abby's B-day

Two celebrations. At home and a group party at the YMCA

The mermaid was a hit.

"I wished I could swim like a Mermaid"

"No wait, I made the wrong wish, I wanted to fly!"

"I wish I could fly!"

Renewed old friendships.
